Ontañón Reserva is a blend of 95% Tempranillo and a touch of Graciano grown on two of the winery's most prized vineyards: La Pasada, planted more than three decades ago in the Yerga mountains at an altitude of 800 metres above sea level; and El Pozo, an estate located between La Rad and Hoyo Judío at an altitude of 650 metres above sea level. It comes from a year when vineyards located in cooler areas – such as these high-altitude vineyards, with smaller yields – produced particularly high-quality grapes.
